Some of the burgers on my burger list are priced upwards of $20. That is the case with the Wagyu Brisket burger at Vince Young Steakhouse in downtown Austin, which normally runs $23.
The good thing, you can have this for only $10 during their happy hour which is from 5-7 p.m. daily, except Sundays when they are closed.
Some of the other burgers with heftier prices also are offered at reduced rates during happy hours. I will make note of this where it applies.
I enjoyed dining in lounge Vince Young Steakhouse on recent Saturday. They have four or five spacious banquettes just opposite the bar.
We arrived for happy hour and ordered burgers and a martini. A select number of drinks are $2 off during happy hour.
I decided to splurge and order the bacon macaroni and cheese ($8) to share with our burgers.
The burgers came out with a side of fries and the restaurant’s house made ketchup.
The ketchup was sweeter than bottled ketchup, but very good. My friend wanted to drink it…
The burger was very good. The patty was nice and thick and had a deep, rich beef flavor. It was topped with house made pickles and white cheddar cheese and set upon a brioche bun.
The search continues…
Please let me know if I have left off my list any great burgers to try. Where should I go next??
